Format

We are trading the conventional conference venue and urban environment for an idyllic rural setting. 60 international investors and startup founders will spend 3 days together in one of the most beautiful Moldovan villages, Butuceni. The village is surrounded by dreamy scenery and old monasteries, in the center of our historical and archaeological complex, Orheiul Vechi.

BONDING

For three days, participants take part in various rural activities aimed to bring them closer together and build meaningful connections and potential collaborations while familiarizing themselves with the traditional Moldovan culture, wine and cuisine. The event is an unconference type that's focused on interaction between participants rather than sitting through boring speeches and panel discussions.

BUSINESS

It is not all fun and wander. The purpose of Tech Village is to create favorable circumstances for lasting relationships between participating startups and investors. The program will include one-on-one sessions, a pitching marathon, and other deal-making activities. We focus on quality, that's why to ensure a good matchmaking between the startups and investors, all applicants will go through a selection process before payment.

HERITAGE

The rural areas in Moldova are characterized by severe demographic and economic problems. A trend of mass population exodus has left numerous villages desolated and forgotten. Organizing TechVillage in Butuceni is our shoulder to the wheel in helping to resurrect Moldovan villages and salvage our rural heritage. More events like TechVillage will bring business to the rural areas and help them develop and maintain their demographics.
